The requirements of care homes are particularly specialised, and the spatial, practical and environmental needs of people with mental and physical disabilities are unique to these types of building.

The practice has worked in the development of the Byfleet, Surrey, community care home, a privately funded initiative, operated in collaboration with the local health authority. The completion of the Byfleet care home marks the first ASA project.
